The dust has finally settled and what a fortnight it has been for the NGYT Theatre Company.
We are incredibly proud of their work and equally proud of our achievement in selling out four shows. This is something that is incredibly difficult in terms of unknown plays especially within a town known for low Arts engagement.
During this time we have been incredibly blessed with two children of our own – Jude and Seren. Furthermore we have been blessed with some of the finest young people from across the community who have walked through NGYT’s doors.
We hope you agree with us in commending the passion, sensitivity, togetherness and sheer talent of our young company and look forward to sharing this with you again in the years to come.
‘The Butterfly Catcher ‘ and ‘In Doing Nothing I Found Me’ feel more pertinent now than ever before, at a time when the debate about the mental health and well being of young people is being well documented within our media.
We have always held the belief that young people must be valued and empowered through the Arts to discover themselves and realise they can make a difference to the world they live in.
We’d like to offer our final words to five very special young people – Dayna, Georgina, Chloe, Darina and Forrest who are sadly leaving the theatre company and off to Universities and Drama Schools across the country.
We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you and cannot wait to hear all about your next steps and guaranteed achievements.
You are all an absolute credit to your families and we are so lucky to have you as a lifelong part of ours #ngytfamily
Thank you to the five families who have also supported us during their time with NGYT. We are truly grateful. Please know you all hold a very special in our hearts.
This might well be our final flight together however we cannot wait to watch you all soar higher than ever before on your next chapter.
Thank you one and all!
David & Laura
